한국을 대표하는 화랑인 아라리오갤러리와 갤러리현대에서의 경험과 글로벌 미술계에서의 전문성을 바탕으로 2020년에 개관한 에디트프로젝트는 동시대 현대미술의 주요 작가와 차세대 신진 작가들을 아우르는 전시 프로그램을 선보이는 동시에 다양한 외부 프로젝트를 통해 국내외 작가들을 소개하고 있다. 에디트는 미술관, 공공기관, 기업 및 민간 컬렉터를 대상으로 아트 프로젝트 기획과 컬렉션 자문을 담당하며 연구, 교육, 큐레이션, 컨설팅을 기반으로 체계적이고 전문화된 서비스를 제공한다. 또한 주요 기업 및 개인 컬렉터와의 긴밀한 협업을 통해 장기적 관점의 컬렉션 방향을 제안하고 균형 있는 소장품 구성을 지원하고 있다.
서울 한남동, 남산 하얏트 호텔 인근 주거 지역에 위치한 에디트는 아시아 문화 예술의 중심지로 부상하는 지역적 맥락 속에서 국내외 기관과의 활발한 협업을 이어가고 있다. 특히 글로벌 현대미술사에서 중요한 위치를 차지하는 해외 작가들을 조명하는 전시와 프로젝트를 지속적으로 선보이며, 한국 미술시장의 국제적 확장 가능성을 적극적으로 모색해왔다. 동시에 역량 있는 국내 신진 작가들을 발굴하고 국제 무대 진출을 위한 기반을 구축함으로써 한국 현대미술의 잠재력과 동시대적 가치를 폭넓게 소개하고자 한다. 에디트는 동시대 미술에 대한 새로운 시각과 국제 미술사적 흐름에 대한 깊이 있는 이해를 바탕으로 한국과 국제 미술계를 연결하는 플랫폼이자 동시대 예술 담론을 확장하는 중요한 허브로 자리매김하고 있다.
Founded in 2020, EDIT Projects builds on experience gained at leading Korean galleries, including Arario Gallery and Gallery Hyundai, alongside extensive engagement with the international contemporary art field. The gallery presents a focused program that spans established contemporary artists and emerging practitioners, while introducing artists from Korea and abroad through curated external projects. EDIT provides curatorial and advisory services to museums, public institutions, corporations, and private collectors. Grounded in research, curating, and consultancy, the gallery develops structured frameworks for exhibition-making and collection development. In close dialogue with collectors, EDIT supports long-term collection strategies and the formation of coherent, considered holdings.
Located in Hannam-dong, Seoul, near the Grand Hyatt Hotel, EDIT operates within a growing cultural district in Asia. The gallery maintains active engagement with institutions in Korea and internationally, presenting exhibitions and projects that foreground significant figures in contemporary art alongside emerging voices from Korea. Through this work, EDIT supports the positioning of Korean contemporary art within an international context. With a clear focus on contemporary practice and an informed understanding of art historical discourse, EDIT functions as a platform connecting the Korean and international art scenes, and as a site for sustained artistic exchange.
