Moonmo Yang 양문모

양문모(b. 1986)는 부산에서 태어나 현재 서울을 기반으로 거주 및 작업 활동을 이어오고 있다. 홍익대학교 미술대학 회화과를 졸업했고 2014년 독일 뒤셀도르프로 이주해 뒤셀도르프 쿤스트 아카데미 (Düsseldorf Kunstakademie) 회화과 토마스 샤이비츠(Thomas Scheibitz) 교수에게 수학 및 학위를 취득 했다. 독일에서 활동을 시작한 양문모의 주요 개인전으로는 에디트프로젝트(서울, 2025), 드로잉룸(서울, 2024), Materiaux gallery( 서울, 2023), Kunstakademie Duesseldorf ( 뒤셀도르프, 2022), AStA Ausstellungsraum, Duesseldorf (뒤셀도르프, 2020), Space CAN(북경, 2011)등이 있으며, 단체전으로는 모바이캔(서울, 2025), 파이프갤러리(서울, 2025), 701 e.V.(뒤셀도르프, 2024), 스페이스캔(서울,2023), ES365(뒤셀도르프, 2022), Faerberstr.116(뒤셀도르프, 2022), Sonnenundsolche(뒤셀도르프, 2019), 스 페이스캔(서울, 2012), 두산아트센터(서울, 2010), 예술의전당 한가람미술관(서울, 2010)등에 참가했다. 2010년 중앙미술대전 선정작가로 수상한 바 있으며, 캔파운데이션에서 주관하는 레지던시 프로그램에 두 차례(북경, 2011 / 명륜동, 2023)참여했다. 그의 작품은 국립현대미술관 미술은행에 소장되어 있다.

Moonmo Yang (b. 1986) was born in Busan and is currently based in Seoul, where he lives and works. He received his BFA in Painting from Hongik University and moved to Düsseldorf, Germany, in 2014, where he studied under Professor Thomas Scheibitz in the Painting Department at the Düsseldorf Kunstakademie, earning his degree there. Yang began his artistic career in Germany, and his major solo exhibitions include EDIT Projects (Seoul, 2025), Drawing Room (Seoul, 2024), Materiaux Gallery (Seoul, 2023), Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (Düsseldorf, 2022), AStA Ausstellungsraum (Düsseldorf, 2020), and Space CAN (Beijing, 2011). Selected group exhibitions include Mobycan (Seoul, 2025), Pipe Gallery (Seoul, 2025), 701 e.V. (Düsseldorf, 2024), Space CAN (Seoul, 2023), ES365 (Düsseldorf, 2022), Faerberstr.116 (Düsseldorf, 2022), Sonnenundsolche (Düsseldorf, 2019), Space CAN (Seoul, 2012), Doosan Art Center (Seoul, 2010), and Hangaram Art Museum, Seoul Arts Center (Seoul, 2010).

In 2010, he was selected as one of the award-winning artists in the JoongAng Fine Arts Prize. He has also participated in the residency program hosted by CAN Foundation twice (Beijing, 2011 / Myeongnyun-dong, 2023). His works are included in the collection of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea Art Bank.
